Concept
The word “texture” derives from a term meaning “weaving of textiles.” Textiles are created through the exquisite art of weaving together an assortment of yarn in different colors and materials, intertwined in a way that brings out the best of each strand.
Similarly, architecture possesses a textile-like texture when created from diverse and unique materials in a harmonious balance that respects each material’s inherent qualities.
Through the texture of architecture that embraces diversity, we inspire the sensibilities of society and foster appreciation for the richness brought about by differences.
The coexistence of freedom and equality, an ideal pursued by modernity, remains unrealized despite being long anticipated. Precisely because we live in a time when numerous and disparate conflicts manifest themselves, we hope to build a free and equal society through collaborations among individuals with different backgrounds and beliefs who respect and harness each other’s individuality.
Our responsibility is to create architecture that embodies the ideal of a free and equal society, helping shape a prosperous future where diverse individuals coexist in harmony.
